Ferlito Motors returns to two-car formation at Mugello as team signs Marotta, Romagnoli

With just two weeks left before the
SUPERSTARS SERIES race at
Mugello, valid for the
ITALIAN SUPERSTARS CHAMPIONSHIP and set for
July 24-25, the field is shaping up for the fifth out of eight double rounds in the Italian series, with some big news coming.
While the new
N.Technology Porsche Panamera S will debut in the hands of world-class talent
Fabrizio Giovanardi, the uphill track located in Tuscany is also set to welcome back the two
Ferlito Motors Jaguars. The driver line-up is featuring experienced
Riccardo Romagnoli and accustomed
SUPERSTARS SERIES racer
Gabriele Marotta.
News don't stop here, as the Verona-based team plans to debut with a new 510-hp, 5-litre powerplant, replacing the 4.2-litre units used so far in 2010.
"
The new engine is already revving up at the Dyno - told Team Manager
Enzo Ferlito -
and we'll do everything we can to introduce it from the round at Mugello. Our goal is to make it on-track for the test session scheduled at the venue on Wednesday, July 14. We're working with no rest to meet the deadline…"
In the last round of the
SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES, held at Hockenheim in June, a single
Jaguar XF was fielded for young former open-wheel driver
Matteo Meneghello.
