ABSTRACT OF THE TECHNICAL REGULATION

The SUPERSTARS Philosophy. The Technical Regulation has been studied in order to achieve the following:

  • Maximise racing action
  • Minimise tuning costs
  • Equalise the performance of different Car Models

The Cars The SUPERSTARS Championship is reserved for production cars with the following basic characteristics:

  • 3001 to 7000 cc engines
  • V8
  • 4 doors

ORAL Engineering. ORAL is an internationally recognised Engineering company created by former Ferrari F1 Technical Director Mauro Forghieri. ORAL Engineering manages the Championship’s Technical Regulation in collaboration with the National Sporting Authority (CSAI) and monitors performances during the racing week-ends

The "Specific Kit". In order to ensure equilibrated performances between different Car Models, the Technical Regulation contains a "Kit" section describing the elements which can be modified on specific Models. This allows Tuners to achieve elevated performances with any Car Model at accessible costs

The "Mono-Kit". The following elements are compulsory for all cars:

  • Pirelli Tyres
  • Braking kit
  • Rear wing

 ABSTRACT OF THE SPORTING REGULATIONS

Event Program. The racing program of the SUPERSTARS racing week-ends is structured as follows:

  • Two Free Practice sessions
  • One 30' Qualifying session (25' alternative depending on organizing needs)
  • One 22' + 1 lap Race

Tyres. Pirelli's "mono-tyre" plays a major role in ensuring balanced performances. Team are allowed to use a maximum of 6 tyres per racing week-end.

Weight compensation.A weight handicap (race weight handicap) will be allocated to each Driver participating according to table "A". An additional handicap will be added resting on the Championship’s classification, as shown in table "B". In addition to previous handicaps, another handicap weight of 20kg, named “Start Sporting Ballast”, will be assigned to each Driver at the start of the season. This last handicap will be added to each car minimum weight stated on the Championship Technical regulations.

The algebraic sum of the handicaps above, with the exception of the "Start Sporting Ballast", may not be in excess of 110 kg.

The total sporting weight calculated through the algebraic sum of the race handicap weight and the Championship’s handicap weight will be assigned in the subsequent race in which each Driver takes part.
